Fuel Efficient Demonstrator (FED) Design and Build Phase

September 01, 2009 – The Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) has provided funds through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 to develop a Fuel Efficient Demonstrator (FED) vehicle for the U.S. Army. The U.S. Army Tank Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC) has partnered with World Technical Services, Inc. (WTSI) in Troy, MI., as the lead contractor for the design and build of a Fuel Efficient ground vehicle Demonstrator. More.
